Kolkata: In the age of chaos and confusion, music is the true soother of the soul! Musicea Arts and Culture Council proudly brings forth for all music lovers the seventh edition of Yuva Music Festival – an International monthly concert series Celebrating Beethoven 250 from 12th to 14th September 2020
The event is conceptualized and organized by Maestro Surendranath Majumdar, Director, Musicea Arts and Culture Council and Founder of Yuva Music Festival.
Like the previous editions this year to the musical soiree has international performers but this time they will be participating from the safety of their homes! Some international artists and professors associated with the Yuva Music Festival 2020 are Silvia Leggio (Italy), Susanna Saw (Malaysia), Jessie Chen (Taiwan), Bianca Gismonti (Brazil), Jayson Bishop (USA), Indra Listiyanto (Indonesia), Mimi Chen (Taiwan), Zsofia Farago (Austria), Rupert Avis (UK), Pervez Mody (Germany), Maharani Chakraborty (Germany) and Fabio Marra (Italy).
Shri Goutam De, Regional Director ICCR, Mr. Andrew Ford, 1st Australian Consul General in Kolkata, Rajasree Chintak Behera, Director, Vivekananda Centre, Beijing and Indian Embassy, Beijing are some of the high Government officials who have agreed to bless all participants as Guest of Honour.
Respected Ms. Brigitte Öppinger-Walchshofer, Hon’ble Ambassador of Austria in India has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest for this year and she has whole-heartedly encouraged all youngsters participating in YMF2020.
Yuva Music Festival since inception in 2014 is a free and fair non-commercial international platform for all children, youths and adults till the age of 35 years with a vision “transforming lives with music” under the mission “Music for all”.
“For the 1st time in the world such a diverse international concert is being presented and it is an extremely proud and historic moment for all Indians. World-class professional artists from Austria, Italy, Germany, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, US, Canada, Zambia are performing alongside Yuva participants from India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Africa and many more neighbouring and distant countries. Over three hundred Indian participants across all corners of India are participating. From Western Classical to Indian Classical, all genres of music are showcased at Yuva Music Festival. I feel extremely happy to be able to successfully organize the entire concert series during this lockdown period. I take this opportunity to thank all participants, teachers and professors for their unconditional love and support for Yuva Music Festival. Music students are able to hear world class performance” said, Maestro Surendranath Majumdar, Founder and Director of the Yuva Music Festival.
Since inception, Yuva Music Festival receives support and participation from consulates of several countries, celebrity artistes, eminent citizens and all music loves; besides local schools, institutes and International Musicians. Over the years, YMF has been promoting many young musicians, and some of them have already become accomplished artists. Thousands of children from the most reputed schools of Kolkata, NGOs’, lesser known schools, underprivileged children, and children with special needs perform together sharing the spirit of good music and positive thinking.
During this moment of global crisis, YMF is playing a leadership role to inspire and motivate children and youth across the world along with supporting music education, music teachers and professors across the world. YMF is presenting a series of monthly concerts every month and participants across India and the world are joyfully presenting their music to cheer global citizen.
Yuva Music Festival is extremely fortunate to receive world-class musical performances from young masters who have already performed in Carnegie Hall, with Weiner Philharmonic and more. Yuva Music Festival is also lucky to receive good wishes and participation from the great music masters across the globe.
